Derbyshire police responded to reports of an occurrence at The Sportsman Pub on Derby Road shortly before 12.30am on March 1.

The man in his thirties sustained chest injuries following the large-scale disturbance.

A female resident of Ilkeston in her twenties was taken into custody on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail as the investigation proceeds.
