Ramon Hendriks

According to BILD in Germany, Forest were unsuccessful with their opening bid for defender Ramon Hendriks. The report claims the value of the offer was €15m (£12.8m), with VfB Stuttgart ‘immediately’ rejecting the proposal.

It’s said that the Bundesliga outfit would reconsider if the fee is more than doubled. Sky Germany have added that the defender’s representatives have put contract talks on hold for the time being.

The 24-year-old has received an offer to extend his contract beyond 2028, but his camp walked away from negotiations as it didn’t meet his expectations.

Arthur Theate

Belgium defender Arthur Theatre is another central defender linked with a move to the City Ground. The Eintracht Frankfurt is currently still away with the Red Devils at the World Cup, where they will face Spain in the quarter-final.

According to Ekrem Konur, Forest are one of four clubs showing interest in Theate. Bologna, AFC Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are all also keen.

It’s said that Frankfurt are demanding around £20m, with the defender’s contract not expiring until 2029.

Jair Cunha

With all this interest in central defenders, the future of Forest ace Jair Cunha is continuing to be debated with reports in Brazil suggesting the Reds are fielding interest for the 21-year-old.

Colina 1927 have reported that Vasco da Gama have made Cunha their leading defensive target and they have opened talks over a loan with an option to buy. Flamengo, Botafogo, Cruzeiro and Sao Paulo have all been linked, also.

Other reports in Brazil have suggested that Forest continue to view Cunha as their project this season.
