Leadership at Capital One attributed the expansion of its Nottingham-based business to greater financial support needed from its American parent, with amounts payable to group companies rising by 14 percent during 2025.
Operational and administrative expenditure rose by eight percent during the year, driven by elevated staffing and marketing expenditure.
These operational costs reached £426 million last year, up from £395 million in 2024. The corporation also remitted more than £35 million in taxation last year, compared with £20 million the prior year.
Capital One’s yearly results indicated the mean workforce size for the year stood at 1,670, marginally higher than the 1,663 recorded previously.
All of these positions were classified within management and administration, according to the records.
A declaration in the company’s financial documentation stated that directors had examined the financial standing at year-end and determined it to be acceptable.
Directors anticipate that the overall level of business activity will remain steady and unchanged.
