A popular pizza brand is launching a fresh takeaway in Nottingham’s central shopping and business district this weekend.
Boss Pizza will welcome its first customers in Huntingdon Street on Saturday, August 1.
Ahead of the grand opening, the company’s demanding evaluation will take place between 5pm and 7pm on Friday, July 31.
Ajmal Mushtaq, chief executive of Boss Pizza, will be distributing complimentary pizzas to drivers waiting at traffic signals and pedestrians passing by, who will be amazed by the generosity.
He explained that he halts vehicles and pedestrians to offer them free pizzas, noting that convincing people the pizzas are genuinely free proves challenging.
The concept involves creating maximum pressure on the kitchen team, ensuring any problems are identified before the official launch.
This approach serves as valuable preparation and education. Any glitches occurring after opening could damage the company’s standing, which is why eliminating operational problems is crucial.
The pizzas feature larger portions at lower prices compared to other nationwide competitors
The fresh outlet has been transformed from a former Pizza Hut location, with the founder describing Nottingham as the ideal subsequent move for Boss Pizza’s development.
This marks the sixth establishment in half a year for this independent pizza company, which harbours bold plans for national growth. Earlier this month, another delivery service commenced operations in Albert Street, Mansfield.
To mark the Nottingham launch, Boss Pizza invites patrons to purchase a 12-inch Margherita or Flamin’ Chicken pizza for just £2 between 12pm and 2pm on Saturday, before transitioning to regular trading from 4pm.
Complimentary items await visitors, such as toys worth hundreds of pounds for children, monetary rewards for grown-ups and vouchers for free pizzas, amounting to £2,000 in total.
Mr Mushtaq mentioned that attendance of 500 to 700 individuals is anticipated. Every celebration aims for legendary status, offering genuine enjoyment with a DJ providing music.
Children’s toys available to win on opening day
Dough is crafted fresh within the establishment, available in 9-inch, 12-inch and 16-inch dimensions, costing from £5.99 up to £17.99 for premium options like the Meat Feast and Italian Feast.
An array of sauces can be spread on the base, including traditional tomato, barbecue and spicy Italian varieties.
Beyond standard cheese and tomato, popular topping choices feature Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Veggie Volcano and Meat Feast, plus the option to design a custom pizza.
Side offerings include portions of chips and wedges alongside onion rings and garlicky cheese bread, alongside the recently introduced cheese dough balls.
For those craving something sweet, the selection encompasses carrot cake, Biscoff cheesecake and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

The inaugural Boss Pizza launched in Glasgow, with Nottingham becoming the ninth branch. An additional 30 to 40 locations are planned, at a rate of approximately one new outlet monthly.
Mr Mushtaq noted that high demand is anticipated. This establishment will provide employment for 15 to 20 local residents. Around 70 to 80 percent of revenue is projected to come from domestic delivery services.
