Nottingham slide park launches after-dark sessions for adults

Published on

Grown-ups can enjoy action-packed evenings without the little ones at Slick City’s new after-dark sessions designed exclusively for over-18s.

The attraction, based at Lenton Lane Industrial Estate, is introducing monthly evenings where those seeking thrills aged 18 and above can take over the venue.

Kicking off on Friday, August 7, adults will have the run of the park between 8pm and 10pm, with tickets priced at £22.95 for the two-hour experience.

The venue offers a fresh alternative to traditional evening entertainment, featuring 16 distinct slides. Highlights include the four-person Fast Lane, the plunging Royal Flush, the steep Big Wave, and the signature Mega Launch.

Since opening its doors in March 2026, Slick City has attracted thousands of visitors across all age groups, with daily sessions consistently reaching near-full capacity.

In the months following launch, organisers fielded growing requests from customers seeking sessions without children present.

Phil James, managing director of Slick City UK, explained that as pub and bar attendance declines, there is significant demand for activities that appeal to couples, friendship groups, and adults of varying ages.

He noted that whether people are planning a romantic evening, marking a birthday, meeting friends away from children, or simply exploring something unfamiliar, they are drawn to experiences that are entertaining, distinctive, and create lasting memories.

The company aims to respond to customer feedback and community needs, and the management team is enthusiastic about introducing these monthly adult-exclusive events. They anticipate providing a space where older visitors can tap into their competitive instincts while enjoying the slides in a unique setting.

The team believes these Friday night sessions will establish themselves as a prominent feature of Nottingham’s evening entertainment calendar, offering something exciting on a regular basis. After all, no one is ever too old to race down an enormous slide.

The venue also features the world’s inaugural UV Air Glider, an air-powered coaster that propels riders through the atmosphere. Visitors can add this experience to their booking on arrival for £4 per ride.

Across the 50,000 square foot complex, besides the slides, guests have access to a sports air court. This area transforms basketball and dodgeball games using its bouncy, air-filled flooring.

A café on the premises provides food and refreshments, enabling visitors to recharge during their energetic visit.
