Police have confirmed three individuals have been apprehended following a stabbing incident in Nottingham.
Officers remained present at the intersection of Union Road and York Street on the morning of Tuesday, July 28, following the attack the previous evening.
Emergency services discovered two women with injuries described as potentially life-altering in the vicinity of the Victoria Centre in the St Ann’s area of the city.
According to Nottinghamshire Police, the three victims sustained knife injuries at a residence on Wasnidge Walk before the trio escaped by leaping through a window.
Those detained comprise a man aged 27 and two women aged 26 and 31, all held on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
The Nottingham Post indicated that multiple streets surrounding the Victoria Centre were sealed off on Monday evening, July 27, with a restricted perimeter persisting at the Union Road and York Street junction the following morning.
Investigators have established that the two female victims were located in Union Road with their injuries.
The male involved in the Wasnidge Walk incident, which occurred at approximately 10.15pm, was discovered outside the property. All three individuals are now receiving medical care in hospital.
Although classified as potentially life-altering, the wounds are not presently considered life-threatening.
Chief Inspector Kylie Davies of Nottinghamshire Police stated that enquiries remain at an early stage but that three suspects have now been taken into custody.
She explained that all three individuals are presently undergoing treatment in hospital, having apparently sustained knife wounds and additional injuries at different points during the incident, which appears to have been isolated and presents no risk to the general public.
The officer further advised that investigators are working to establish a full account of events and urged members of the public with any information, however minor it may appear, to come forward. This includes witnesses to the occurrence as well as individuals possessing CCTV footage, doorbell recordings, dash-cam footage, or mobile phone recordings that could support the investigation.
